DHD on O2, branded?

hi, I'm going from 3GS to DHD in feb, but staying with O2, I want to know if the handset will be branded/unlocked when supplied by O2.

You can't get a DHD directly on o2! They are now the exclusive UK windows phone HTC provider and don't provide it! I really wanted one as an upgrade phone and what I had to do was go to Carphone Warehouse. You can upgrade your existing contract on o2 and get the phone from CW. Other third party retailers also do it.

There is no o2 branding on it at all because its HTC logos etc only. but also I had a text problem and phoned o2 and were very difficult because it's not one of their "regular" phones. But had no problems with the network or o2 settings on it! So its not o2 branded or any DHD info on their website because they don't have it for customers by themselves! (really stupid decision imo)

Going through Carphone Warehouse was really easy though! was scared about it and it was really simple! it is unbranded and unlocked!

thanks for your reply, very strange that the O2 rep on the phone gave me all the details and told me I could have one end of feb?? hmmm.

i wonder if he was yanking my chain.

O2 got it wrong with someone I know as well. I told her to double-check and they had agreed on a Desire rather than a Desire HD.

O2 only do the HD7. The HTC 7 Pro is coming to the UK in February but as of yet you providers have signed up HTC 7 Pro confirmed for UK, lands in February - Pocket-lint
