Di-hydrogen Monoxide?

If the video is accurate, then they weren't lying. Di-Hydrogen Monoxide was coming out of the faucets. ;)

Yeah, they weren't really stating anything new, they just said it differently. IMO the radio station should have realized what was being discussed

The video that I saw on that link was about a new article about the April Fools prank. Now, I would like to actually hear what the DJ's said. If they said that dihygroden monoxide was coming out of faucets, then they have done nothing wrong either than stating the truth. If they said anything that suggests the water was unsafe to drink then I would have an issue with that.

I am rather disappointed in that news article. Why don't they just tell the public that dihydrogen monoxide is actually water? Why don't they educate the public? All they have to do is that and all of the people will be wiser. They seemed to be making a big thing out of what possibly is just people saying the truth only using words that some people don't understand. I would like to hear wat the DJ's actually said on air that caused the stir.

Yeah, it's like yelling fire in a crowded theater if they actually played it out as being unsafe. I would really like to hear the clip as well.

About 10 years ago our computer instructor used this as an example of why not to believe everything on the internet

It was all on some website

Yep, we got it in an English class about double checking sources. The site we were showed listed some harmful side effects from this dangerous chemical!!

not sure but i think it was this site

You should be careful around that stuff! I heard breathing it in can kill you ;)

If you can't believe everything on the internet and you were told that on the internet, are you supposed to believe that statement?

Technically it would be more like yelling "exothermic reaction!" in a crowded theater...

That would be akin to saying there is a fire in the theatre. What the DJ's did was not saying that there is a fire or a cause for alarm.

It's more like saying, "we detect Argon in the amount of 9,300 parts per million in the air we are breathing" in a crowded theatre. Argon is a noble gas and is found in the air we breath in the amount of 9,300 ppm. It's the truth.
