dial pad not working

[Android Question]

My bank automated service and other a.s. don't recognize the numbers I press on the pad of my new LG L9 (android). The machine keeps saying the password or pin numbers are incorrect. I tried to do it with other phones and works perfectly. Any advice besides throwing it away.

Are you using a T9 keyboard? If so try using the numbers on the qwerty keyboard.

Another thing to try:
If you are entering the digits while on speakerphone, DON'T! I've never seen this documented anywhere, but it was the cause of my problem on two different phones.
