Help Dialer Button Responce Problem

I have a problem with my G1 and was wondering if any would be able to help me out.

If i phone my answer phone for example when I slide up the buttons on screen so that I am able to navigate through the options. When I press a button lets say 1. it will display on screen straight away but no action will be taken. It will complete the action about 30 - 40 seconds later.

The other thing is when I am making a phone call the hang up button doesn

I have just also noticed that when someone phoned me i also had problems answering the phone call. Nothing happened when i clicked on the accept call button.
