Help Dialer issues

Really two separate issues.

With stock dialer app.

I have a contact with two alternative phone numbers - landline and mobile. When I use the dial-pad to search for the contacts by typing the first few letters of the contact name (e.g. it starts "Do" so I dial 36), then the display brings up the contact but only the first number (in this case the landline) and gives me absolutely no way (that I can find) of dialing the mobile number.

Short of making a separate contact for the land line and mobile (defeating the object of allowing alternate numbers for a contact) is there any way that I've missed to get the alternate number?

Second issue:

When I showed this to a colleague he said the stock dialer app was a load of rubbish and I should install Dialer One. I did so and it works very well, except for an extreme annoyance on the Samsung Galaxy Ace. If I install Dialer One on the task bar at the bottom of the screen, replacing the stock dialer with Dialer One, I find it only stays there until the next reboot of the phone. After the reboot, I find that the Dialer One icon has vanished from the task bar, leaving only three apps left. This is absolutely infuriating that the system seems to remove anything but the stock dialer app.

So now I have the stock dialer app on the taskbar and Dialer One on the main screen for phoning multiple number contacts. Not a satisfactory solution at all.

Can anyone suggest a fix for either of these?

Open contacts, then choose the contact name.Open contact.Swipe on which no. u want to call..thats it

I'm aware I can do it like that, but it's hardly convenient scrolling through a mass of contacts as opposed to just dialling a short code.

If I do this in Dialer One, the short code brings up the contact and I can click on it and then choose the number I want to dial.

However, the stock Dialer does not appear to do this - only gives me the option to dial the first number on the list for that contact.

As I said initially, I would changed to Dialer One, but for the Samsung's infuriating habit of removing the Dialer One icon from the taskbar on a reboot of the phone.

1) The numbers which you call frequently can be made as ‘Favourites’ then tap sub-menu button, left of the center button. Then tap ‘Add’->’Folders’->’Starred Contacts’. You will get the folder on your home screen with all your favourite contacts & when you tap the one of your choice you will get his/her multiple numbers.
2) The next option is to make a new home screen & add all the contacts you dial frequently.
