I have an Android tablet that I would like to use for viewing DICOM images over a LAN from a PACS server. Apple has had a product that does this for years: Osirix. For at least a year and a half, I have been looking for a comparable product for Android, but there is none. I really don't want to buy an iPad for a single app, but I'm getting really tired of waiting for the Android developers to get on this.
Playing "Angry Birds" is fine, but here is a real need for a quality app that would be genuinely useful to the medical community, and it isn't happening. It's very frustrating.
Is there a site (besides this one) for one to request an app from the developer community?
