Help Dictionary/S-Pen Options for Multi-Language Support

Hi.
When I select text with S Pen it doesn't give me the many options such as dictionary. Is there a setting that isn't turned on?

T-Mobile N910T

There are no other languages available for me to download. Can anyone help as I would like to obtain a Spanish (Spain) one, too.

WELCOME TO ANDROID FORUMS staceysolis !

Is this what you had in mind:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.translate&hl=en

Or,an application for a dictionary for Spanish to look up spelling/definitions,or,something a bit more involved?

Only other thing I can think of ATM is changing the language of the entire phone (as when you 1st set up the phone/sign-in to GOOGLE &/or SAMSUNG).

If not,I suspect you're looking for simultaneous multi-language support.
Can't say I've heard/seen anything like that,but,then again,I'm not multi-lingual.

Hopefully others will chime-in w/suggestions/support.

Are you wanting S-PEN support for two languages?

If so,that is possible.

Go to SETTINGS > SYSTEM > LANGUAGE and INPUT & scroll down to HANDWRITING RECOGNITION.Tap on LANGUAGE,it supports up to two languages simultaneously,if desired (For S-NOTE & Action Memo).

I can't even get that menu to pop-up.All I get is the Air Command circle/menu.

I'm sure I'm not doing something right, admittedly the S-PEN has got little attention from my usage on the phone.

I'll look around/PM some members here that are more versed in All-Things-Note.........

No, not at all. Go to 12:15 of the video and that's what I mean.

OK,I figured out how to get that to pop-up.
Perhaps it works only w/SAMSUNG apps/browser,as I got that menu to appear while reading an article via the SAMSUNG Browser, was using CHROME.

I'm not getting the option to download any other dictionaries either.
I'm @ work ATM:
Later this evening,I'll contact SAMSUNG Support for guidance,if I don't stumble across something in the meantime.

Until then, PEACE & once again, WELCOME TO ANDROID FORUMS!

Thank you very much.

I'll PM YOU & you'll receive the PM via the e-mail address that you registered to your account.............

Please respond via the PM,not the e-mail,.........

I looked in the SAMSUNG APP STORE,looks like there are other similar dictionaries available that might work w/the NOTE 4 features.

I'll get more definitive information later this evening...........

Just completed a chat session w/SAMSUNG.

I figure as long as y'all are reading this post,it's only fair that ya get to read the transcript. *Hint, there's 20 minutes of my life I'll never get back*......... :p

Shayla: Hi, thank you for contacting Samsung Technical Support. How may I help you today?

KOLIO: I'm looking for additional dictionaries to download/that are compatible w/the S-PEN functions/etc......

Shayla: I will be glad to assist you with the required information.
KOLIO: Thank You.

Shayla: \May I know the model number of your phone? You can find it in Applications >> Settings >> About phone or You can find it beneath the battery of your device which generally starts with SGH or SPH or SCH or GT or SM.
KOLIO: SM-N910T
Shayla: Thank you for the model number.

Shayla: I am sorry to inform you that as per Samsung Technical Live Chat Support don't have information regarding the third party applications.
KOLIO: OK,well, there is a 3rd Party dictionary pre-loaded.Are there any more specific for NOTE 4 use?I don't want to spend upwards of $25.00 for a dictionary app to find out that it's not compatible....
KOLIO: It's named "COLLINS COBUILD ADVANCED DICTIONARY OF ENGLISH".

Shayla: Thank you for the information.
Shayla: I understand that you want compatible dictionaries for the note 4 device is that correct?
KOLIO: Yes,that is correct.
Shayla: Thank you for the information.

Shayla: As of now there is no information about the dictionary on the note 4. However, I recommend you search the application from the Galaxy apps or google play.
KOLIO: I've been there/done that, nothing explicit as to NOTE 4/S-Pen compatibility, that's why I'm here. What I'm interested in is basically the same dictionary, but,in different languages (Spanish/German/etc....).
KOLIO: I've seen YOU-TUBE videos w/multiple dictionaries loaded/used w/the S-Pen,so,I know it's possible......

Shayla: Yes, you can try to download from web sites.
Shayla: I am sorry to inform you that as per Samsung Technical Live Chat Support, we only troubleshoot the issue and file a service ticket to send the device to service center. don't have information regarding the Application.

KOLIO: Go to the 12:15 mark in this video, you'll see what I'm talking https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-kaOjfAZyQ&feature=youtu.be

Shayla: I am sorry to inform you that as per Samsung Technical Live Chat Support, we don't have access to third party web sites.
KOLIO: OK,Thank You.

info: Chat session has been terminated by the Samsung Agent.

Just completed a phone call w/Tech Support.
They had AT&T/VZW/T-MOBILE Note 4's on-hand & none had multi-dictionary support (as depicted in the YOU-TUBE video linked earlier).

They suspect that this may be supported for Korean/International Note 4's only ATM.

I will follow-up on this w/an e-mail to Tech Support,w/the YOU-TUBE video linked,so there is ZERO chance of any misunderstandings.

Stay Tuned......... ;)

Wow. Thanks for the time you spent on this info and posting! I was just watching this YouTube and trying to make my SPen work...now I can quit and ignore that youtube! :-)
