Did anyone find Note 4 too big?

Just wondering if anyone find that Note 4 is too big/bulk/heavy? Any cons of the weight and size? (I understand it is a good phone and good screen, just trying to find out if the size and weight affect anything for you e.g. too heavy in pocket, sit down uncomfortable...)

I am using S4 now and considering Note 4. Male and usually carry phone in front pocket.

I found it to be too big when I first got it. Within 2 days, I wanted to return it, but after a few days...it grew on me. Single-handed operation took an adjustment, and even though there's a feature built in to shrink the screen size, I'd rather not do that. Overall, I like VERY MUCH as a 2 handed phone, but feel anything larger than the Galaxy S3 is pushing it for single handed. I loved how the S3 nestled itself into my hand. I'd deduct a point from the Note 4 for single handed use.

Even the S5 is a bit large for single handed. Those fractions of an inch seem to add up fast once you get to a certain size...and the S5 is larger than the S3.

I've overcome some of this with a grippy case, as with a single hand, I can't grab it the way I used to for all functions.

I had the same concern about carrying the Note 4 in the front pocket. I usually carry my wallet in one front pocket, and keys on the other. I have to rearrange that plan if the phone goes into a pocket (instead of a sport coat pocket or fanny pack). But if it's all alone in the pocket, it's fine, even with a Seidio case (a thin one).

TBH it's not as bad as you'd think, but this is an incredibly subjective area. I'd consider the old iPhones way too small, for some people it's perfect for them. The best way to know for sure is to try one out, either in a shop or via a friend. Like yourself I used to own an S4, and upgraded to a Note 4, and was lucky that my GF owned a Note 2 so I could give it a proper test, see how it felt in my pocket etc. Or you could always buy a dummy Note 4 (the display models they sue in shops which don't do anything) which is identical in weight and size and cost £10-15 on eBay, see how it feels carrying it around with you.

For me personally (also male, wearing jeans, front pocket), standing up it it's fine and fits in my front pocket like the S4 did. Sitting down it's still fine but a bit more noticeable, and you might want to take it out.

There is the odd time when I have to use 2 hands but it's definitely usable mostly with one hand. Plus you've got options to resize the screen as you need it, change the keyboard for one handed use etc. Weight-wise there's no complaints from me, never felt tired using it for long periods of time or making calls.

Now I love it and couldn't go back to a regular screen size. If you don't mind the bigger size then I'd strongly recommend the Note 4.

Feel free to to ask any other questions :), you're right to be diligent before looking into a new phone

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if the screen or overall width was reduced by about .20".
The OPPO FIND7 & nearly identical dimensioned 1+1 is the sweet spot for my preferences.
One reason why I'm tempted to JUMP to the LG G FLEX2 from the NOTE4 if it becomes available to T-Mobile.

Coming from an iPhone 4S I didn't find the phone to be too big but did find the first standard phone case I used make it feel to big and bulky. Switched to a thinner cheaper case and the phone feels just fine.

I also came from an S4, and I didn't find the Note 4 too big, it was more getting used to its materials and balance in my hand, its sides are metal as you know so they aren't as 'soft' as they are on the S4. Over time you get used to it. It fits in pockets fine, I sometimes were tight-ish jeans and my Note 4 sits comfy in my front pocket even when I'm sitting and/or driving.

I have had numerous android phones and spent years with iphones. I switched from an iPhone 6 to this note 4 and am extremely happy! The size took a few days to get used to and now I can't imagine using any other phone. The battery life and screen are amazing. I have had zero lag or issues. This is probably the best phone I have ever had.

Flexible TPU Silicone Rubber Cover Case For Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Phone $6.28 on Amazon. Steal!!!!! Dropped phone multiple times. Never a scratch.

Samsung spent millions to get a light, thin phone and here we are spending thousands (all together) to make it heavy and thick! I dropped my S4 over a dozen times without any problem and I'm hoping to do the same with the Note 4 (just once so far :-)).
