Just a little word of caution people

My SD card has been in the phone since I got it (Oct 2008), its never once been removed

I got the 1.5 OTA update around 9am Friday morning

This afternoon (Sunday), I received a text message and the phone only vibrated with no custom notification tone, upon investigation i discovered that my SD card had been completely wiped :eek:

Lots of images, ringtones, music tracks and even a full DVD movie !!!!!

Its as tho its been reformated, I have just removed the SD card and plugged into my PC and it is comfirmed as totally empty

So if you havent got the update, make sure that anything important on your card is backed up

Do you think this was just a coincidence or update related ???

Maybe the cupcake got tired of being eaten and decided to bite back? (Pun intended)

Lol...

But seriously...

I updated to 1.5 and my SD card was fine...

Although this is a good bit of advice for people who might want to take caution....

And sorry to hear that happened to you...

At least what I lost was only trivial stuff and easily replaced

I could imagine the card becoming corrupt, but this was completely empty

8gig card, previously around 1/3 full

Total space 7,576 MB
Available Space 7,576 MB

did you ever format it or use it as it came out of its package ?

I had to reformat the card several times since installing a JF1.5 update (hopefully a coincidence).
