Root Did factory reset on phone, now service doesn't work?

I Did a factory reset on the phone and now the service doesn't work. It says connecting to server or something like that, but it fails. How do I flash the phone to get it to work again?
Verizon wants to charge me 40 dollars to flash it and get service back on.

referring to a droid razr? because you've got an LG Motion 4G listed.

can you get into recovery? does it boot and there's just no service? are you rooted?

Oh yes for the Droid Razr. Yes I can get into recovery, I can boot and use it normally, but there is no service. I used the Droid Razr Utility [TOOLS] DROID RAZR Utility XT912 Jellybean -- Windows + Mac + Linux (All In One!) to wipe everything on the phone and install Jelly Bean on it to no avail. I'm not rooted, it is all factory.

odd. that's the root utility that i and many other people used with no issues. are you on a US carrier? it's odd that you'd lose service with it, but nothing else. assuming you don't care so much about data, as it's already gone, i'd say just try it again. first just do another FDR, then go so far as to redownload it, and see if maybe your DL got corrupted.

maybe your data is simply turned off? does wifi work? are you on .8 or .16?

Yes I have a US carrier (Verizon). I checked the MD5 and fine. I actually downloaded the thing a couple of times and the issue persist. Data is turned on; I'm on .16. Do you think perhaps Verizon is blocking the activation? I will call tomorrow--maybe the problem is on their end.

i'm guessing at this point, so...

possibly a corrupted SIM card? have you taken it out and reseated it? blown out dust that *might* have gotten in there?

i dropped my phone yesterday, and the SD card became unseated, even though it was still "locked" in. something similar may have happened.
