Did i get scammed? or did i get free Earbuds?

Sennheiser CX300. They're an old model now. Good quality.

Thats quite a lot actually. I'm re ripping everything I have to FLAC to be lossless. I think that would be detrimental to me.

Thanks though.

Your best bet is to try it yourself. It will always depend on your source material. I'm not saying that it downgrades everything to 192kps, just that it probably takes you one or two steps down in the level of compression.

I don't know that the CX300's are quite critical enough for it to be as detrimental as you think.

All that said, when you are really wanting to jam out, hardwired is the way to go (preferably with an amp in between).

FYI I have more info on how this was possible. In fact yes, they did give them to me for free, and yes i can/will return them to knock down the overall cost of my phone :)

That day we upgraded 2 phones:
my wife got dInc4G - $199 ($149 after mail in rebate)
I got Sammy GS3 - $199

He put my wifes phone on the receipt as $149 instead of $199. He also made it clear how she can complete the mail-in rebate and receive another $50 in the mail. Ultimately bringing her phone to $100

So to give me the $50 earbuds for free, he put discounted my wifes phone and left the rebate intact so we will get the $50 in the mail as well.

Now ill go return the earbuds. Quality is slightly better than my $3 dollar hong kong specials, but not worth $50 to me lol
