Did Mtn. Dew kill my phone?

Ugh! I unknowingly dropped my Blu R1 HD in Mtn Dew. It was dead, but now I get two things:
1) a slow flashing logo screen
2) a "select boot mode" screen after holding down volume button. (But can't get it to boot back)
I am poor & can't afford a new phone. Is this 100% dead?

Soda is often fatal to electronics, as it's quite corrosive. It's probably 100% dead.

Yeah, unfortunately it sounds dead... Probably the more times you start it, the worse it will get. That's often the way with liquid damage. It's misleading when the phone boots, but as the battery runs, more corrosion builds.
