Did someone say update?

Funny, the first thing is says is "fixed the sim card error" and after this update I still got that error message! lol
 
There was a post somewhere that indicated the reason data is dropping is how verizon does authentication. So it is possible that a fix is possible here (both to verizon and verizon's phone) depending on how they do or change authentication.

The article hinted that one of the problem is the frequency at which authtentication is reapply and how it handles even minor errors.

Interesting. Seems my phone got the update sometime today. I'm noticing 1 to 2 bars more signal in 3 and 4 g. I haven't messed with any other features to see if there are any improvement in them.

This leads me to believe the update must be right around the corner. :D
 
Whats the build number for the update? Also any kernel baseband or core android changes? I cant tell if i got the update, left phone at home and dad said their was as update and he tapped yes but he wasnt sure if it was as app or system.
 
Just got it a few minutes ago and was going to check here first before I installed it. I wasn't sure if it would mess with my root. But I'm gonna install it and see what happens.

Update (6.1.1.748.en.US) has been downloaded and is ready to install. Installation will take up to 10 minutes. Etc.
 
Just got my update as well...camera is awesome now...very fast pics without flash. This phone just got that much better.
 
I just checked "system updates" in the settings menu and it stated that the update was available. I am downloading it now.
 
Woke up with it ready to install today. I haven't had any Sim issues or connectivity problems so I guess yay.
 
Got the update this morning in GA. So far, so good! It seems zippier, and the camera definitely focuses faster.

I wasn't having any of the listed problems, so no way of knowing if update "fixed" them.
