Did the recent OTA upgrade improve battery life?

I'm not "on" my phone all day long; however, I have had it unplugged for almost 4 hours and it still shows full battery. :)

Not sure what you guys are getting or expecting from the phone, but i have no battery life complaints.

I've been on the phone almost constantly this morning: 20 minute phone call, internet, email, facebook and now over an hour of streaming pandora.

I'm still at 80%.

I can use my phone all day and not need a re-charge, including bluetooth use in the car. I have GPS turned off, but everything else normal. 1 minute screen timeout, auto brightness, full animation, etc.

To me, that's more than acceptable.

Hmm, wonder if this ROM helps?

I listened to pandora for about 6 hours straight yesterday and was at 50%....so I think life is pretty good.

Since I rooted and did some tweaks and removed some apps that always run in the bg I seem to be getting even better battery life.

This "update" that you speak of is that 60+Mb file that was OTA'd to some people's phones. As far as some sites are concerned there is a PATCH that will EVENTUALLY activate this 60+Mb file as an official update.

Stop crying wolf and b!tching

What apps would that be? I will root once 2.1 is out, and would like to get the most of my battery.

mail, corpcal, vvmail...load into memory as soon as you start whether you want them to or not, and if you kill them they come back.

Also installed SetCPU and set sleep mode to 250x125

I have yet to recieve the facebook update that went out the last few days. I was able to update my facebook app from the app store though. Is this the reason i have yet to recieve the update? Should i just uninstall the update, so i can get the one that was sent out?
