Did you replace your laptop?

They do not come as a set. But typing will absolutely improve with the addition of the keyboard.

I have ALL of my photos on picasa, and have since synced with my TFP. Interestingly, not all of the albums have come to my device. I think there may be some sort of limit (10k pics, whatever). I have way more albums and photos on my picasa web system, then i do on my supposedly fully synced TFP

Anything else i can try, or answer on this for you?

No I didn't replace my laptop,...although I was (secretly) hoping to. I have no problem with my Toshiba Portege laptop even though it is old. It still works very well and does everything I want it to do. It is however a MS Windows device,...and I hate having to use 'Windows'.
In my quest for a device that could/would be a possible replacement for my old WinMO phone I discovered Android. I trashed my old WinMo phone and bought my SGS (Galaxy S) and I was thrilled with the experience.
So, ever since then I've been wanting to do the same thing with my WinXP laptop. I now have my new TF201 Prime and I love it. My laptop now sits idle almost all of the time. However, I have found that there are things that I can do on my laptop that I cannot (as yet) do on my Prime. Photo editing is one example. I use Picasa and Ulead Photoimpact on my laptop. In something as simple as email I find that I cannot edit my text with bold, underline, italics....nor can I change the color of the text on my Prime...in email. These are things that I find myself limited in doing when using my Android tablet....and yes I do have and use the keyboard dock.

So, I'm hoping there will be apps, or email enhancements, or firmware upgrades that will address these issues and allow my to do a complete switchover....but as of now I still use my laptop to do several things.
Have you tried Photoshop Touch for photo editing?

i sold my laptop before buying this tablet ( I already have a desktop with nice specs) because all I did on it after I found a different job was browse the internet and watch videos. This prime is definitely worth the switch better mobility and ease of use compared of a laptop worth 500 dollars it takes a while to boot vs instant on

No, I haven't as yet but thanks for the suggestion.
I slighlty cringe when the name Photoshop comes up due to a slight sense of foreboding from the thought of having to deal with the steep learning curve associated with that software.
I suppose I should have bitten the bullet and taken it on years ago.

I do enjoy playing around with photo editing software, and I've picked up quite a bit of the ones from Corel, Ulead, and Picasa. I really like using Picasa due to its ease of use, and then I go into Ulead PhotoImpact when I want to do some serious editing. I no longer use Corel.

I might go ahead and followup on your suggestion. I'm sure its a worthwhile app.

I went the other direction and decided my Thrive and View were good enough and got a Lenovo 470 14" with 2670qm, 550 gpu, 8GB and bluray for $150 extra. Three hours less battery life (depending on use, could be four) and not as portable, but far more options for productivity and gaming. Plus bluray and more storage. PS2 and Dreamcast emus rock, as does all of my Steam games.

$650 to me seems too pricey, especially considering the wifi issues. None the less, I can see the attraction and appeal of the Prime.

Added:

Having a full MAME on the 470 is nice too.

Well, I just got my Prime a couple days ago. I rarely travel so portability wasn't a huge issue. We used to have (before the screen was trashed) a Galaxy Tab 10.1. It was great to have on the few trips we took, though a bit laggy. Once we lost that and I've seemingly bricked my Flyer, I really lost the feel of having a tab. I have a pretty crappy Gateway notebook. It's perfectly fine for our needs which is mainly web browsing and watching movies, but it's a tank.
ICS and the specs that the Prime has were two big deciding factors in my purchase. I just ordered the keyboard and can't wait for it to come. I'll likely use my notebook more and more. The only thing that I like about the full size KB on my laptop is the designated number input. I use it frequently, but I'll get by without it.
The speed and screen quality of the Prime will get me to probably dump the laptop.

BTW, I haven't tried it. I just knew it existed and figured I'd throw it out there as an option. There are probably other options out there as well.

Picasa is an amazing product! I selected that because it has a nice interface on the computer, and also on the web.

What I am saying is that I have 70,000 or so pics on my desktop and in my picasa web albums, but when i syncronize my transformer prime to my picasa albums, only about 10,000 pics come to my device. And it is not an issue with space.

Which tells me there might be some sort of internal limit to how many albums or photos it will pull from picasa. Either way all i know is, it is not my full collection.

I've replaced my laptop for about 95% of tasks. The only thing that my computer does that my Prime does not is android tweaking tasks like running Odin or rooting programs. I also keep my music library centralized on my computer, so I sync my phone and tablet off of that.

If your music library is too large, it may not work for you, but Google Music lets you store your library there, and sync your PC and android devices to it, or just stream the music. It's limited to ~20,000 songs.

Very interesting, so they are definitely limiting sync. This would explain my issue above, where only 10k'ish photos of 70k'ish actually made it to my device.

Yeah, I've tried to use Google Music, but I can't get past a few things that drive me nuts with it. I actually just bought my first album on it, and I'm getting a headache trying to get the music to download to my prime. My phone won't even register that the new album is in my music cloud.

It's not a sync problem, it's a storage problem. You can't store more than that on Google Music for free. I have no idea what the sync limit is, because I have less than 2000 songs stored, about 10% of the limit. I have no idea what Picasa's limits are, since I've never used it.

Google only gives you a limited amount of free space for pictures and music. They do give you relatively little space for pictures for free (1 GB). I just recently paid the $5 for the 20GB of storage. Seems well worth it.

I have been getting all of my music on Google Music and I've had no problems so far. So far I've uploaded some 5,000 songs without difficulty. I'm also able to play them on both my phone and my Prime without issues. I wonder why you are having problems.

Same here. I remember having a similar issue as Zebulon when I first got Google Music on beta. That was on my old Droid X. The fix was updating to the next version when that came out so I'm not sure what to tell you on troubleshooting the problem.

The Transformer Prime is a wonderful piece of technology that would have to be pried from my cold dead hands to make me part with it, but sometimes you just need a Windows/Linux machine. I'd say about 80% of what I do is on my Prime, the rest is on my Zenbook UX31.

Being an engineering student, this could never replace my laptop. There are too too many programs to run, and multitasking isn't easy, like taking notes in a word doc while viewing a pdf simultaneously. However, as a device to take to class to take notes, browse the web, kill time in between classes(and in them lol), it is excellent. Having just got the dock this past week I absolutely love it, and can say that my prime has been undocked for maybe an hour in total, and that was just so I could clockwork mod recovery on so I could flash a rom.
