I swapped my phones and got the updated profile but my PRL is still 61008. Tried to update and it says there's no update. Anybody else experience this?

I click "update prl" like once a week just for the hell of it and it never says no update, just says prl updated press ok to continue or something similar to that

On my other phone it said I had 61010 I think it was? Now it just says no PRL update. Just wondering if they are keeping me on 61008 due to the area I'm in...

Clear dalvik and cache in recovery and try again, prl's aren't usually reserved for certain areas it's an all or nothing approach. The only time I have ever seen different prl's at the same time would be for corporate accounts which obviously doesn't apply with VM.

Via the stock recovery? I haven't rooted my device.

Didn't work. I just bought this phone 2 days ago, and it checks for a PRL update immediately after activation, and didn't find anything then either.

Still on 61008.

Mine is stuck on PRL version of 61007, Is this bad? I can't get it to update to anything above 07.

If I'm not mistaken I think some prls are better in different areas and that's why it doesn't update, but u could manually update it with qpst

Would you mind elaborating on that a bit more, Please. What exactly is qpst, and how would I do this?

Larz.
