Help Dies on cradle

I keep my GT on the cradle next to my bed to watch podcasts. Ever since getting the cradle I usually find after a day untouched it has gone totally off, or at least unresponsive. And I have to hold the power button down for a REALLY long time to get it to power cycle and come back to life. Good thing I don't have to rely on it's alarms, and I have not had the patience to struggle my way through whatever support phone tree would be required to see if there is any answer. Before I had the cradle if I left it plugged in all the time there were no issues. Nothing like paying extra for more inconvenience.

Good guess but the battery remains fully charged after it goes dark.

What kind of outputs does the cradle have? Maybe it makes the Tab to go to sleep by having an output that is designed to work like that.

I do not have one of those cradles, but trying to guess what might be wrong.
