I think one is the GSM variant that's already released in Canada/overseas and the other is CDMA (Verizon).
Also, post more threads with exclamation marks in the title.. that's not annoying at all
. Half of the first page right now is comprised of threads from you, you could have easily made one or two threads with all of these questions/issues condensed into one post instead of covering the front page with threads.

Is there a physical difference between the Xperia z1iR800 and the R800X phones? I am trying to purchase an extended battery (32-3600mAh) for my R800X but see only Z1i batteries and covers. Sellers do not seem to know one from the other (as do I not). Will the battery and cover interchange between these two, or are the different models? I was given to understand that the R800 series are all the same physically, with only feature differences between them.
Anyone know for sure?

There is no real physical difference between these two phones. Only the signal types they support.
