Difference between T-Mobile & ATT version in UK?

Hi,

I'm in the UK and looking for a replacement for my original (Google store purcahsed) T-Mobile-bands Nexus One.

A lot of the available N1s now seem to be the ATT version.

Which is best for the UK? And what are the practical differences of having either version for a UK user who may want to roam in Europe or the US?

Thanks.

It would depend on the carrier you intend to use in the U.S. In the U.S. AT&T uses 1900 MHz for 3G while T-Mobile uses 1700 MHz. Those are the functional differences between the versions. In Europe 3G is 2100MHz which both versions support, so it shouldn't be a problem there.

I believe Google pushes these out by region, not by carrier.
When the 2.2 OTA rolled out, I noticed that the Tmo N1 version seems to get the update before the AT&T N1 version. With Froyo, the ppl that got the update first were the developers that got the 'free' phone from the I/O (or TED) Confrence. I thought it was based on IMEI based on that..but that's just my observation. I remember reading ppl in Europe/Asia that had the Tmo N1 got the update with the Tmo ppl in USA.
