Differences between the RAZR and the MAXX?

For those of you that started out on the standard RAZR and upgraded to the MAXX, have you noticed any dfferences?

I ask, because I was at a Verizon Wireless vendor store today and I pointed out how I had the MAXX, and the sales dude showed me his RAZR. He had location alert widgets and phone location software which I don't seem to have, while my settings list had colour icons (which the RAZR did not have) and our menu options (when you hit the menu key on the phone) were laid out differently.

Just curious...

Might just be the way he had it set up, maybe third party apps involved as well. If you look at the specs the only differences are the battery size and actual phone dimensions. It's the same device otherwise. As far as the colored icons, didn't they come along with the latest update?

I was wondering if he had updated his RAZR, but I wasn't sure. What was weird was that if you press the menu key, the option for settings was in the bottom right of the options while mine was in the bottom left.

He also claimed that the options I mentioned came with the phone...

Sounds like one had received the latest update and that the other hadn't. They both run the EXACT same software build.

The Maxx has a removable and larger battery then the Razr (non-maxx).

Umm, are you sure? I thought it was unremoveable just like it's less powered sibling... ;)

Really?!? I was under the impression that is was removable. I have yet to find a store that has it in stock to find out though. :_

When I first got my Maxx, the option for settings was on the bottom right, after the OTA it moved to the left.

When I received my MAXX, the first thing I did was to preform the upgrade. So I never really noticed where the settings were laid out...

Yes, settings moved to the lower left after the update, and the colored icons were also part of the update.
