Different Notification Sound For Each Contact

[Phrostbyte]

I want to be able to set a different notification sound for some of my contacts. I get texts from family and friends, and I also get text notifications from work. I want to be able to make my work notification sound different from my other texts notification sounds. Is this possible?

Hi

Well it might be. It seems to depend on which phone you have. On my samsungs open a contact for editing and there is an option for ringtone and another for message alert (which does what you want) but I am aware that not all versions of Android have this option.
