Different Notification Sounds

Am I just been a ****** or is there no way on the Note (running ICS) of having different notification sounds for different, well, notifications?

On our lasses HTC 1 she can have a different sound for email, facebook, text messages, etc.. allowing you to know what you have just by the sound. I would've thought the Note would have something similar but I can't seem to find a way of setting it up.

Is there a way?

You can assign sounds globally in settings>sound>ringtone and notifications. You can assign specific sounds within the app. For gmail open the app, then go to settings and click on the account. For text messages open the text app, open settings, scroll all the way down and select the ringtone, etc. Individual ringtones can also be assigned by contacts in the contact app. Open the contact and scroll to the bottom of the info for a ringtone selection.
