Help Different size flex cable for screen replacement?

Hello all, I have a situation, I have a htc evo 4g already flashed with boost mobile and working on it, but I got broke the LCD screen and the touch screen digitizer glass. I got an other htc evo 4g for take the parts and replace them to the first one. Now when I opened both phones I realized that both phones has different sizes of flex cable and the board of the first one doesn't has the wide holder flex cable. What can I do to figure out with this matter? If there are some way to do it.

I put two image to can explain you exactly what part I am talking about. In the first image there is a red pointer pointing the part I want to replace on the motherboard, it is the connector where the lcd screen ribbon cable is plug-in.
This part got broke and I am looking to replace it, the second image I put is the connector I need to replace, I found it on Global Direct Parts|iPhone Parts|Smart Phone Parts|PDA Parts| Data Capture Parts|Cell Phone Parts.
I am looking to know how can I take out the part and install the new one on the motherboard.

Wow...I would assume you would have to de-solder the old one off the board and then re-solder the new one on it. But you would have to have a pretty steady hand and good eyesight to do so. Not to mention the tools needed for small electronic repair.

Now those are some things I don't have and I can't tell you how to do it, sorry :(

I do commend you for having the courage to try it :)

That small stuff scares me personally ;)
