Help Different sounds for different notifications?

Hey all,

Is there an app on the play store that will allow me to assign different notification sounds to different notifications?
I would like to have one sound assigned to email and another to a text message etc.
A paid or free app is fine.

Thanks

Gray.

what you can do is download a third party email app like k9mail
you then can go into the settings and change the notifications.

I have got mine set for a different tone for each of the following
New message
New e mail
Facebook update
Works really well, no need to download anything

Zedge is the app you want.
Thousands of different sounds and graphics which can be downloaded and applied individually to all sorts of functions on your device.
Oh, and it's free!

<In each built-in app you have an option to change notification. No need to DL anything.>
Could you please walk me through the process?

Not all apps will give you this option. If the app does, then start the app and go into the settings for that app. Usually, you press the menu button. Then there should be a menu with Settings as one of those options. Select settings. This is where you will have to look through the settings to see if the app allows you to select a custom notification sound. Usually, it will be under a notifications option. Each app is different, so you will have to explore the settings of each app.

These popular apps allow you to select a specific notification sound: GMail, Google+, Facebook, Twitter, Alarm Clock, Message, Facebook Messenger, an GTalk. For other apps, you'll have to look through the settings yourself.
