I have a Kyocera Brigadier, my 2nd one in fact, and both had this same issue:
When I try to connect it to my PC (to transfer music, photos, etc) it gets real spastic on if it wants to connect or not. It most often constantly defaults back to "Charge Only", even in the middle of data transfers. I have it hooked up right now and tho the phone reads "Media sync mode" and the phone is charging, but the computer is not recognizing it. It also often asks me if I want to install VZ Upgrade Manager, which I already have installed.
I'm getting very heavily frustrated at this.
