Root digging android..

Hey. Guys, i have been trying to root my phone for a while now basically to get the lag fix. I am using ryans oclf and every time i try to boot into recovery i get a yellow sign with a android digging dirt.. Any ideas on what to do thanks

you're holding down the wrong 3 buttons i think. try power button + vol. up + home.

If your running froyo 2.2 you will need to manually place the update.zip file on the root of your sd card or use Odin. When update.zip is on your root you need to power phone off and power back up in to the recovery mode which is Vol up - home key - power button then let go of all 3 when the writing appears. Once in recovery mode use the volume rocker and select update.zip and then click the home key to apply the update. When your phone reboots it should be rooted. You will know if its rooted as you will have an app icon called super user
