digital audio out???

[jdb]

Does anyone know if any future phones are going to have some sort of digital audio out (opitical)? I would really like to have some way of sending the music on my phone to my home receiver digitally and not with a 3.5mm jack. I think some phones have/are going to have hdmi, but from what I understand you cannot send just audio through hdmi (I tried on my lap top to my receiver, and no go).
Also, if no new devices are going to have any sort of digital audio out, does anybody know of a way to send music to a receiver digitally that I am not thinking of? Thanks ahead of time.

No telling. You can hit the usual rumor mills but I don't recall seeing anything about digital audio output.

You can look and see if any of the bluetooth audio gateways have digital audio output.
