Help Digitizer replacement

I got a question. What would be easier, replacing the digitizer or the LCD and Digitizer. I do work on phones as a side gig and I have replaced digitizers on damn near every phone except the S2 and S3. I have heard that the LCD is insanely fragile for a Smartphone and that it would be easier and wiser to just replace the LCD and Digitizer.

Has anyone had experience with doing this? If so what do you recommend.

I replaced on mine. To the best of my knowledge, it is impossible to separate the digitizer from display without damage the display. When taking apart, watch out for the keypad at the bottom. It is glue(like almost all components) to midframe and screen. Carefully, lift the screen(after heating) and separate the keypad. I would recommend to order new one. It is cheap and latter replacement would be expensive. Do not lose the volume button - as I did. Had to order new one.
I hope that this help.

Sorry for such a late reply.

Worked like a charm! Thanks!

I decided on going OEM on the replacement parts. I heard that some of the aftermarket LCD's had some issues.

It is easier to change the whole thing.. 90 percent of the time the screen would break.. so just get the whole set.. the lcd with the digitizer together

When I took out the old digitizer and lcd, I noticed the LCD is PAPER thin, I tried to separate it from the digitizer and there was no easy way. I damn near had to bake it off with a heat gun. But I did get it off, just took longer then what I am use to.
