Dilemma: Droid Razr or Razr Maxx

Ok, so I absolutely love my phone which is less than 2 weeks old. What I dont like so far, is having to have a charger handy to keep a good charge of my phone throughout the day. I installed Juice Defender last night, as I was told it would greatly improve battery life.

The dilemma is, I am still within the 30 day window and can return the Razr and get the Maxx. Is there anything going to help my battery life on the Razr or do I need to get the Maxx?

I don't know about battery saving measures for the Razr, but for what it's worth, I'd highly recommend getting the MAXX and forgetting about it. There's no better battery life available. In addition, it is still quite thin, and I think it feels better in my hand.

You only have 14 days to return the phone for cash, or to exchange for a different model. After that you can only replace your phone with a different one of the same model.

You are right, its 14 days. My old carrier was 30 days. I am on day 16 now. :/

You can always try sweet-talking them into making an exception. It most likely won't work, but it wouldn't hurt to try if you'd really like to switch models.

verizon phone support said that they shouldnt have a problem doing it, since its just a few days outside the 14 day window. They said it is up to the store whether they do it or not and to try and get ahold of the sales rep I dealt with. He stored his name and # in my phone, I called and left a voicemail and sent a text telling him what I wanted to do, he wasnt at the store when I stopped by so I figure its his day off and I will try tomorrow.

I will say after disabling some of the bloatware last night and installing Juice Defender, I am currently at 40% battery and 15h 25m 14s on battery (light to moderate usage).

I looked at it this way. My plan is going to cost me $85/mo. I had the chance to go with a Maxx for $124 or the regular Razr for $24. Over two years, I am going to end up paying $2164 for the Maxx or $2064 for the Razr. For that difference I will have better battery power on every single day of the 730 day contract. I felt that was a very easy decision ... I went with the Maxx.

maxx all the way. 4G sucks the battery life out of non maxx phones. so happy i upgraded from my bionic.
