Help dim browser after at&t update?

Lurker
I just got the S3 on saturday. I had to lookup how to adjust the browser brightness (menu option at the bottom) which I was able to do. This morning my phone updated itself and the browser is back to being super-dim and the brightness option is no where to be found. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

This is a known issue among those of us who received this AT&T update after having previously set the independent browser brightness to a dim setting. That dim setting is remembered and there's no way to undo it now.

My suggestion: Wait for the JellyBean update and hope that fixes it, and in the meantime install Google's Chrome browser. I switched to Chrome because of this problem and like it better than the browser that came with the phone.

Ahh, thanks for the info.

You may also try going into the Main Settings of the phone. Choose Display and uncheck Auto adjust screen tone.
