Root DInc 2 no service after following cyanogenmod instructions

Earlier today I followed vivow's instructions to downgrade from hboot 0.98.0000 to 0.97.0000 and then followed the instructions to install the latest Cyanogenmod. Everything seemed to work fine, but once I booted into CM, it says no service. I should have service where I am at and my brother's verizon phone right next to me has full bars so it's something going on with my phone. I tried factory resetting in CM to no avail. Any suggestions on how to fix this are appreciated. A phone without service is pretty much useless and I'm not very experienced with this type of thing.

Thanks

Before you loaded CM7 did you do a nandroid backup of you original ROM? If you did restore your backup and see if your service comes back.

If you didn't, I would try removing the CM7 ZIP file from your phone. Re-download CM7 and try reinstalling it. Something may have gotten corrupt during the download.

Unfortunately I didn't back up although now I'm really regretting it. I followed an unrooting procedure and flashed the stock ROM to the phone and then flashed the bootloader back to 0.97.0000, but still no service. I'll try to put CM7 back on again and see if that works, but not sure what could be wrong after reverting to stock image, S-ON, stock bootloader.

UPDATE: after going back to the stock image, I accidentally updated using the stock PBxxxx file again and now I have service again!

Did you check to see if your phone ended up in Airplane mode or some other mode where the radio would have been turned off?

Yeah the issue seems to be fixed for now. I just flashed the stock ROM and then bootloader and after a factory reset, I get signal now. Airplane mode was not on, but I guess its working for now! Thanks!
