Root Dinc 2 with 2.3.4 and idiots quest to root.

OK here is my dilemma, i want to use my 3g wifi hotspot om my unlimited data plan without paying verizon to limit me to 2 gigs. to do this i need to root my phone but as my title states i am an idiot, at least in this field.can someone either post or link a good clear walkthrough for rooting 2.3.4?

try PDANet for wired tethering that is faster than any wireless.
If you need wireless without root try this, I used this until I rooted and it worked great:
