Help Dinc no longer rings when called

My girlfriend and I have the HTC Dinc. Her phone will not ring when anyone calls her. It will ring once or twice on the caller's end, and her phone will just say "missed call." I checked her ringer volume and ringer tone settings - both seem normal.

She has not DROPPED the phone (wink, wink), but even if she had and just didn't know it, I wonder if and how this symptom would result.

Any ideas other than damaged phone?

I have no idea what causes such a problem but I've had it happen to two Dincs. I found that if I pulled the battery out and rebooted it normally fixed the ringer problem. But once it started.. it happed more frequently as time went on. I returned the first phone for this problem and was sent a refurb. The refurb developed the same problem after four months so I'm waiting for another refurb now. (should be here tomorrow)

You might have your gf pull the battery and replace it and see if her problem is solved. I'd do the power off.. pull battery for a few.. replace and reboot the phone. If it's still not ringing.. I'd return it.
