I've poured over the forums looking for something that might give me an answer, but I can't find anything on the DINC forums and the others appear to be overheating issues on the original Moto Droid. I've also seen posts about a spotty 3G signal may cause it to reboot (I'm in the DC area, so 3G is pretty persistent).
This just started happening about 3 months ago. Every time I run driving navigation, my phone reboots about 10 minutes or so in. When I try to go back to nav, it reboots within a minute or so. The phone is pretty hot, so I'm wondering if there's an overheating issue here.
I've tried factory resets and most recently a rooted version of Gingerbread (Stock + version 2) located here: [ROM] ◄ Stock Plus ► v2 10/15/11 - xda-developers
The problem persists regardless. Does anyone have any insight as to how I might correct this issue? Could it be a hardware issue? I'm willing to try other ROMs if anyone thinks they might help.
Thanks,
Steve
