Help Direct Dial widget not WORKING!!!!

Hiii everybody!
I wanna say thanks to everybody here for all the help sharing!

as usual I really need HELP with my GT-I9505 galaxy!
i had it from some days and after exploring it a little bit one day
it says that Updates are ready for it.
i update it with baseband version I9505XXUBMGA!
everything goes OK........................but (there always something) i notice 2 important things!!
1. the shortcut icons at lockscreen are missing
2. i can't add any more a DirectDial shortcut at any page of my phone

pleeeeeeeessssseee i really need HELP!!!
is it everything OK with my phone and the software version in it or i have to do something eles

System Settings - My Device - Lock Screen - Shortcuts.
Make sure the toggle switch is ON (green). When you turn it ON, touch the text "Shortcuts" and it will take you to place where you can specify what shortcuts you want and how many.

2. i can't add any more a DirectDial shortcut at any page of my phone

This in no way should be related to firmware update.
The only thing that comes to mind, is some kind of over-sized widget which take wall space and doesn't allow anything else. But with such minimal description, it's really hard to guess.

Set up a new page by pressing the capacitive button on the left hand side of the home button. From menu, go to Edit Page. The screen will zoom out and you can see all the pages. Press the PLUS button, add page. And see if you can add the shortcut to that page.
