Some of you may be familiar with Team D.I.R.T.s work. Most of their work has been done on various HTC devices. I was admiring their work on the "Dirty Unicorns" for the Nexus4 a while back and wanted to get it running for our E4GT.

This ROM is based on the Android Open Kang Project (AOKP).
The main goal of this ROM is to have the latest and greatest features all under one ROM. Team D.I.R.T. and I, do not take any credit for any of the work that's associated with this ROM. With all due respect to those that are originally responsible for the code used in this ROM, they have simply taken something that was good and in my opinion, made it a little better.

Like stated above, neither myself or Team D.I.R.T. take credit for the original code used in this ROM. However I would also like to give credit and thanks to other individuals that have helped contribute to this ROM.
The names below are in no specific order, if I have left your name out....please PM me and I will gladly correct my error.
| AOKP / Team Kang | CyanogenMod | Paranoidandroid | Preludedrew | Tomzefi | NYCHitman1 | Tommytomatoe | JMZtaylor | bigwillyg | ChaOS Team |
| CarbonROM | Rohan32 | LorDClockaN | Liquidsmooth | Dastin1015 | Bajee11 | SlimROMs | Ramjet73 | Sean8172 | Thyrus | TUN_SD | Daxxmax | Beerbong |
I would also like to give thanks to everyone that supports Team D.I.R.T, thank you!!

This is probably my favorite source Rom. I dare say it's better than pacman. It has all of the same features but more options and is super duper stable.

Pacman just updated too...

I'm kinda torn between this and Pac. On the flipside there are little bugs that annoy me about these aosp roms like not getting wimax where I was on stock and other things like no working oc, vm seems to be useless as I have checked through adb and terminal and there is in fact no running swap. Little stuff like that. Other tiny issues like features that seem to be in menus but don't do anything.

I can get past those minute issues for all of the other awesome things these rooms offer because they aren't present in tw to begin with so there is no loss of function in fact besides the 4g deal (which I have Wi-Fi and I usually turn off because it drains so much juice searching). I might go screw around tonight and play with a tw Rom. I just generally don't like the theming in most of the tw roms. I'll have to go looking around in xda and see if I find some good themes and mods. Ant recommendations? Is there any themes for project Rom?

I agree with you 100% I love the aosp roms, they have opinions that TWs don't but like you I want a full operational phone and got tired of the small issues they do have, for me it was the sound and keypad issues I was having and wifi does work on the aosp roms but it doesn't even compare to what you get running 4g Wimax on a TW rom.

As far as themes, just check thru the threads on Project X on xda and if you have any questions bilgerryan (the rom creator) is a member here on AF and has been very good about keeping us informed about his rom, but I do remember seeing guys theming his rom, I just us a different launcher and it changed the theme to what I like, if you have any questions about Project X just let me know, I have been running it for over a month now and for me that's unusual lol but I love it, its flawless.............;)

I was gonna give this Rom a test spank but for some reason every time I go to flash it from el26 it says that there is an error with the file. I have downloaded it 3 times, formatted my sd, checked md5, washed, rinsed, & repeated to the same result. Have you had any issues such as this Doc?

When you download it are you downloading it from your phone or a computer, I have had that happen if I download to my phone, then started doing it to my computer and then hadn't had any issues since..........;)

Computer. I do all my flashing on my computer with Odin handy if something goes wrong. You can never be too careful.

What you might try is flash GC01 no data and then install Project from recovery, that should work.....:)

Has anybody tried the phaze 2 kernel with this rom? Everybody claims it will bootloop. Not true. I have t running perfectly fine (it's actually reeeeaally nice- undervolting and awesome battery life), and so does some other people on XDA. I think nobody has tried it on the new build.

Also PAC just updated with a new kernel as of the 7th (only five days after the last update). I'm about to reinstal and make a nandroid so I can play with the new build).

Any way I could request a port of this to Virgin Mobile Samsung GS2?

EDIT: Actutally I might be okay. I seem to have it working at the moment...

Hello ChrisMills83 and Welcome to AF :), yes it should work sir, let us know if you have any questions......:D

no need to port any Sprint ROM to Virgin as it is already on the Sprint network. You will need to set your MMS settings for Virgin for your picture messages to work.

So everything is working fine after applying the voicemail and MMS fix.

The only current issues I have are:
1. The Sprint settings in system settings does not work (obviously).
2. Upon boot, after unlocking the screen, I am presented with two consecutive windows. One says clock has stopped working and the other says that Apollo has topped working.

Any ideas for fixing this?

Edit: Nevermind. I'm an idiot. A full wipe and install fixed everything.

Side note: I have to say that one of my favorite things about this ROM is the data transfer speed in the notification bar.
