Help Disable 4G on verizon

anyone know how to disable 4G on my verizon S3? i searched the net and heard about "Phone info" app but on the play store it dont have the right one! Thanks for any info!!

I don't think you can disable it at all, unless you're on wifi.

thats a bummer cause I dont live in a 4G area yet but 4 miles up the street its 4G

It's already known to not work on vzw GS3. Try "phone info" app instead.

The phone info app will work so you can set it to 3G but for whatever reason you can't turn 4g back on with it. You have to do it through mobile networs under settings

for some reason I cant find the Phone info app in the market my friend has it on his the icon has a phone with "I" when I search it it pulls up the other phone info it has blue circle with "I" and that dont work

Greetings BCJ2,

I have no trouble going from 4G to 3G and back with this app.

You could have your friend get a file manager with app backup options, backup the app up and transfer it to a computer/SDcard. Transfer it to your phone and install from there.

I don't condone piracy, but I think this is something different. The app was free and there doesn't seem to be a way to get it any longer.

If a mod disagrees with my post, feel free to delete it and admonish me.

I find the G3 is opposite of the Razr, in that for the Razr, 4G battery life is awful and 3G battery life is good. I find after two G3s (white and blue) and being mainly in 4G areas that 3G battery life is poor and 4G battery life is great (not just good).

The G3 battery life using 4G is better than the Razr with 3G. 4G on the Razr is a cruel joke for battery life.

Point in comparing the two devices is 3G battery life is not that good on the G3, compared to other devices. Droid 3 was also way better for 3G battery life.
