Disable google voice?

I've got a simple question, I'm a N1 user and google voice came pre

How do you know that it's draining your battery?

Well in Battery Usage it had drained 2% in 10 hours without ever using it, I think that's too much.
I also noticed it starts up whenever i send an sms for instance. But it also starts up after letting my phone sit idle it seems. Or mounting sd card, or enabling wifi,...

you need to keep it running in order to use the market. You can kill it with a task killer, but you wont be able to download anything in hte market.
