Help Disable IP based ad tracking

Question:
Every time I'm on Google or any other websites with Android, I always see targeted ads and my aprox locations in Google.
Is there a way to turn this off?

This is course or IP based locations because I have GPS turned off and supposedly have Google's interest adverts turned off but I still see this, especially from businesses in my area.
Can this be done and does it require root?

Do you have GPS turned off or location turned off? They are not the same thing. Google get your location if you use wireless networks for location (either "low power" or "high accuracy" modes). GPS by itself ("device only" location) actually doesn't share location with them.

I have location turned off.
When I turn it on it is set to device only but asks me if I want to use high accuracy

I don't think that you're going to solve your basic complaint about businesses tracking you with the main location setting.

Businesses track you and your location without that service on your pc.

You need root for proper ad blockers
As for targeted ads, I have no problem with them, I'd much rather see an ad for a new phone than for "hot single teens in your area" tbh.
Maybe I'm getting old :D
