Disable media scanning?

Hey guys,

Im looking for a free app or something to disable "Media Scanning" at startup?

Its not thats its slow,Its just that sometimes "Media Scanning" causes my phone to lock up/be none responsive and having to remove the battery for it to work again.

The card i have in it now is a good one,Samsung 8GB Class 6.

You should look into that. Don't assume that your card is good unless you've done testing with other cards to ensure that your media scan locks up no matter which card is inserted. Media scanning shouldn't lock up your device. You have a problem that you need to address.
