Help Disable mobile data

Hi there,

I'm thinking of buying a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini, but seeing as it will be on Pay As You Go I want to be able to disable mobile data but still be able to use MMS (I plan to just use my WiFi you see).

As I understand it, mobile data is used to send and receive MMS, so my question is, will the phone automatically turn mobile data on for MMS and off again after?


I'm new to smartphones by the way lol.

Not sure if your network supports it, but I keep my mobile data constantly turned off and I receive MMS messages without having to enable mobile data.

Meant to add, this is for receiving MMS only ( I never ever send MMS messages)

Hi

There are apps such as juice defender which can keep the data turned off unless a specified app(s) eg messaging is running. When you exit messaging it will turn data off again. (With data off I receive a text advising me when there is an mms waiting. )
