Help disable pin

Jamesep

Lurker
Hi,

I've broken the screen of my Oneplus and I can't get past my pin lock screen as the right side of the screen is unresponsive. For some reason the adb is displaying the phone as unauthorised so I can't use a remote control via adb. Is there a way around this?

My phone's s-off and it's running lollipop, if that helps.

I've seen threads about removing the pin but I can't seem to get that to work. any suggestions?? If I could enable the wifi the pin lock will disable, if anyone can think of a way to enable that.

Thanks in advance!
James

Any chance that you installed MyPhoneExplorer before this all occurred?
If you did, you should be able to access the phone from your PC even with a dead screen.

You say WiFi is OFF, does that mean that DATA is also turned OFF?
If data is available, you should be able to use a web recovery via Google Device Manager from the Dashboard page. You are required to sign into your Google Account first.
https://www.google.com/settings/dashboard

Once there, click on Manage Active Devices

If there is no connection available that won't work.

no, stopped using that and airdroid a while ago

Data's on but the only option in the device manager is to change the password but as I can't type on the phone I'm stuck. If the wifi is on it will detect that I'm at home and disable the pin lock

Does the OnePlus support USB Host Mode? If so you could use a USB-OTG cable to connect a standard PC mouse and manipulate the screen that way.
Yes! You star, thank you. Have an otg for USB sticks but I didn't realise it would work with a mouse.:D:D
