Disable Scrabble taskbar notifications

I installed Scrabble a couple weeks ago, and now I'm playing several concurrent matches. Each time another player takes a turn, I get a taskbar notification alerting me that it's my turn. Is there any way to turn off the taskbar notifications (or at least the sound associated with them) from Scrabble?

I don't want to disable all notifications. I need to receive important notifications from other apps, SMS, etc. But I don't want to receive half a dozen game notifications when I'm in a meeting at work. I simply don't need Scrabble to make loud sounds when I'm not playing it.

I tried turning off the sound in-game, but the taskbar notifications still use my standard notification ringtone volume.

Turning the sound down would prevent me from hearing important notifications and ringtones. I was hoping for a way to disable only the notifications from Scrabble.

The notifications actually haven't been working for several days now... maybe (hopefully) they won't return.

I've never tried WordFeud, but I do like Words With Friends better than Scrabble. Regardless, I installed Scrabble in addition to WWF so I could play with friends who don't have WWF.
