Help DISABLE Shutter Sound Button MISSING

I have a Verizon s5. When I received the phone, I disabled the shutter sound by going to the camera>Settings>Shutter Sound and disabling it. However, it appears that option is not there at all anymore. I believe it used to be next to the "grid lines" option.

I know I had an update about a month ago but I don't recall the shutter making noise until yesterday

Any ideas?

Ok I am on verizon and just looked and I have it now. Maybe this latest update brought it back but I think I always had it. Mary

No, it has been missing since the 1st update came out, and a LOT OF US bitched to Verizon because that feature was removed.

I also received the 4.4.4 update last night, and the Camera menu is a lot bigger than before. The sound on/off setting is back like it should be.

however, not sure why, but Location is greyed out? Duh, just figured that out in a flash. Screen was locked, I had accessed the camera from the Lock Screen. Unlocked the phone and the Location option is now available. I leave it in the ON position as I travel all of the county roads and take a lot of pictures of road hazards for my job.

All too easy to forget where "that picture" was taken, especially when you look at a bad culvert and a 1,000 other bad culverts look just like it.

Oh OK when I go into my camera settings I have one that says shutter sound and it's turned on. I only got my phone in august and have all the updates that came through since then. Mary
