Disable "Smart Dial Tip" ?

Does anyone else experience extreme lag when trying to dial a phone number? The phone searches through all my contacts to see if the numbers I'm typing match any of the contact names through T-9 it seems. It takes me about 20 seconds to be able to type in a 10 digit phone number and is EXTREMELY annoying.

Is there any way to disable it?

I might sound like a broken record. But i had the same problem, then i got a task manager (advanced task manager) and set it up so that every hour it closes some apps. My phone doesn't lag anymore.. AT ALL.

I have a task manager and regularly use it, however the phone is only laggy when typing in phone numbers. It tries to match the numbers to people in my contacts. If I type numbers in when the phone is connected it works just fine.

No one elses phone is laggy when typing in numbers in the phone?

Nope, but I only have like 40 numbers in my contacts list, I would venture a guess that if you had several hundred to thousand numbers it could get a bit laggy doing that kid of active DB query.
