disabled market updater

I have managed to disable market update?? I'm so worried.
Could someone please explain the consequences of this and how I can rectify it. Thank-you in advance.

do you mean you've disabled the notifications for when an update to an app is available?

If so, go to Market>Downloads>Menu>Notifications

as for the consequences, only that you will have to manually look for updates, no notifications.

Um no...I went into settings......applications...manage applications
Selected market updater....then erased all data
