Help Disabling Calendar Notifications

Hi All...

Annoying problem here that I'm hoping someone can help with.

I have two calendars configured on my Epic... my personal Google calendar, and my work exchange calendar.

I am generally near my laptop all day long, so getting meeting reminders on my laptop is all I need. I would prefer NOT to receive reminders on my Epic from my Exchange calendar.

However, I WOULD like reminders for events on my Google calendar.

Ideally, I would like to implement one of the following two solutions:

1) Disable reminders on my phone for my Exchange calendar, and enable reminders on my phone for my Google calendar. However, I can't find any way to configure reminders "per calendar".

2) Assuming I can't do #1, I wouldn't mind disabling ALL calendar notifications on my Epic, and will instead have my Google Calendar send me a text message as a notification. Unfortunately, I can only disable the sound notification.. I still get the icon in the task bar at top of the screen. Is there any way to disable that icon??

Or does anyone else have any good solutions?

You should be able to edit your notification settings in either by accessing the gmail calendar directly on your computer, or else going through each of the calendar events on the phone. I don't believe there is a good way of adding a default notification to all events.

I have a similar, but different issue. I have installed Gemini Calendar on my Epic to use instead of the stock calendar app (improved interface versus the stock). But since it is also using the same calendars from my gmail account, I am getting dual notifications. Unfortunately, I am unable to find a way to disable the notifications from the stock Calendar app. I am running a EB13 ROM, so with any luck this problem is resolved in a EC05 version.

I think you missed my point. I want to disable EXCHANGE notifications on my phone... so I dont think there's anything I can do via Gmail on my PC.

And going thru each individual event in my phone calendar and disabling notifications just isn't feasible.
