Help Disabling headphone jack on Droid Incredible 2

Hello. My HTC Droid Incredible 2 recently shows a flashing headphone symbol next to the 3G symbol at the top of the screen. I suspect what may have happened is that some moisture got into the headphone jack and it is now malfunctioning. Does anyone know how to disable the headphone jack? I recently bought a new vehicle with cell phone hands free (bluetooth) feature but it doesn't work now because the phone thinks there is a headphone attached.

Try cleaning out the jack. Turn off the phone and scrape around gently with a small screwdriver. Then turn the phone upside down and tap it on something or use compressed air to blow it out.

You could also do something more permanent like disconnecting it, but I would advise against it :smokingsomb:
