Help Disabling in-app purchasing?

I'd like to disable in-app purchasing on my device. I'm not sure if it's done on a per-app basis, or if there's some master on/off switch in my settings somewhere. Either way, I'm having trouble finding where to do this.

Thank you!

Go into the Play and go into settings. In there check "Use Pin for Purchases" and it will prompt you for a four digit pin. This will apply to both app purchases and in app purchases. It doesn't turn it off, but it does make inadvertent (or unwitting child) purchases impossible.

If you are using Amazon there is a similar setup but it only applies to in app purchases.

I hope this helps.

I think so. I found the settings you mentioned, then went to test it out. Clicking (well, tapping, I guess) the thing in the app still launched the purchase page. So I guess the password comes into play if I were to then tap the button to confirm "yes, I do want to buy this"? (Not a thing I want to test out directly.)

Yeah, I don't blame you for not wanting to test. I don't remember the exact sequence as I've had it set for a while and I haven't purchased anything for a few weeks. I do know it works but I forget what step the pin comes in at.:o

If memory serves me correctly the pin comes up when you click buy, submit. ... or whatever the wording is when making a purchase.
What I've done is via an app (ZDBox).
When my 3yr old attempts to make a purchase he can't because Google Play itself won't load until a password is entered.

There is no limit of the apps that can be locked and you can remove the locks (all or individually) as you see fit.
