Help Disabling physical back button

[Android Question]

Hi...
If we want to disable physical back button in an app to support functionality of the app.
Can we disable physical back button in an android app...??
Will android guidelines allow for disabling physical back button...?

You want to disable it in your app only, or disable it through the entire phone using an app?
